Qi Mingyao

Professional Experience & Education

Dr. Qi joined GSST in August 2006 as an Assistant Professor. He was appointed to the position of Associate Professor in 2009, and has served as a Ph.D. advisor since 2013. Currently, Dr. Qi also serves as deputy director of GSST's Modern Logistics research institute.

Prior to joining GSST, Dr. Qi received his Ph.D. in Geographic Information Systems in 2004 from the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of of Geographic Science and Natural Resources Research.

Research

Interests:

    Modeling, Optimization, Simulation and Information Management of Logistics Systems, including service network design, vehicle routing, warehouse planning and operation, logistics robotics, and logistics data analytics. Methodologies of interest include mixed integer programming, stochastic programming, robust programming, metaheuristics, and matheuristics.

  • Robust optimization of service network considering system resilience (NSFC grant # 71772100);

  • The architecture of collaborative regional remote sensing technical service (National Key Technologies Research and Development Program grant #2016YFB0502601);

  • The key technologies of the terminal delivery logistics robot (Shenzhen Science and Technology Project grant # JCYJ20170412171044606);

  • optimization of the mobile robotic fulfillment system (from industry);

  • O2O order delivery dispatching algorithm (from industry).
