Professional History

    Dr. Yang joined GSST in August 2013 as an Assistant Professor, and has served as a Ph.D. advisor since 2018.

Education

    Dr. Yang received his Ph.D. in Management Science & Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2011.

    Applied Statistics; Warehousing System and Inventory Management

Master's & Ph.D. Advising:

    Optimization in the field of logistics.


Research

Interests:

    Modeling, Optimization, Simulation of automated/manual warehousing system, e-commerce order picking system, Interdisciplinary issues between logistics/warehousing and carbon reduction. Methodologies of interest include mixed integer programming, simulation, stochastic programming, metaheuristics, and matheuristics.

Current Projects:

  • Operation optimization in multi-shuttle automated storage and retrieval systems with the consideration of share storage and uncertainties (NSFC grant # 71572090);

  • Optimization and simulation on key operational strategies in multi-shuttle Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (NSFC grant # 71202022);

  • Research on application technology of low-carbon and compact warehousing system (grant # JCYJ20150331151358130
